Looking For Light Grey Paint…

I'm looking for a light grey paint (rattlecan) that is as light as "Tamiya's Fine Surface Primer - Light Grey" or lighter. I think I've tried all of Tamiya's greys but they're all too dark.

Any others out there?

Yes. While it says it's grey it's actually greenish grey (see photo with primer on the left, TS-81 on the right)

Have you compared this to the primer? I would actually like to stick to paints made for plastic models.

Doesn't seem to say so. My understanding is that the model paint manufactures are of a higher quality (smoother finish) than hardware store quality paint.

Primer's finish is not smooth enough for a final coating. It's rough by design to allow the "real" paint to adhere.
