Looking for a good Primer

What is a good primer to get? Is it better to get a hobby primer or can i use a primer from a store like Home Depot? 8)

Airbrush or spray can?

For spray can, hard to beat the Tamiya Fine Grey or White primers, and for airbrushing, hard to beat the Vallejo Polyurethane primers, available in 16 colors.

dont vallejo primers come in a spray can now also?

They always did, but they stopped importing them to North America when they came out with the airbrushable primers.

At least none of my suppliers carry the spray cans anymore.

It also isn't the same primer in the cans (unless they have changed them since) as what comes in the primer line in the bottles.

i taught they released some new spray primers last year?

Nothing that I have seen. When you go to their Primer section of the website, the title still says Primers in Aerosol, but all the info is about the Airbrushable Surface primers. Don't know if they even make their spray primer anymore.

In either case their spray can primer wasn't an acrylic and was solvent based, so maybe because of that they got rid of it.
