;D The outer bolts hold only the flimsy rim in place that retains the tire :

- - - and they evidently decided they needed even more bolts for the G , 24 vs 16 on the D & A models in those pix

and in case you want to know ;) ,

The steel-wheel version actually does use a rubber ring to mount the steel "tire" :

Guess the engineers had a reason for that or there could have been some bolt nut in the engineer team with a very strong will.
