Well after nearly 4 years of model building I have today knocked over the Tamiya extra thin, not just an old half full pot but a brand new pot bought yesterday......

Anyway it got me thinking if any of you have finally done something that you have seen or heard about that you thought you would never do ? Pantherman

I've probably done it all: spilled glue, knocked over paint, massive glob of glue, fingerprints, spray paint splatter, dropped model, lost a part in the carpet....and on and on!

Oh no, it's all coming back to me now. I had forgotten about all that plus the knife slipping and slicing a perfectly straight line along my thumb. Pantherman

When I was about 8 years old my dad took my sister and I camping in a trailer to the Poconos for a Church retreat. We're sitting around the table inside at night and my dad lights the Coleman lantern after pumping it up and looks right at me and says don't touch the top of that it's hot. Holy crap I had a blister the size of a silver dollar

Modeling wise yep.
I use silver paint sometimes to check seams.
And use old Polly S, paint remover to take it off.
I have a separate bottle to clean the paint brush, to keep metallics separate. It has lacquer in it.
You guessed it, removed the paint with the lacquer and etched the plastic at the same time.
Awesome, huh? You think that dope would label that shiznit?

AN IN 60YRS OF MODELIN ive cut a 3inch long cut in my thigh when the stanley knife sillpped out of the wood that i was cuttin an boy did it bleed wow an had to stick my leg in my modelin box so i dint get blood over my mums new carpet an another thing happened to me when i was scratchbuilding my big 9ft long USS NIMITZ as the super glue i was usein flicked up in to my eye an boy did it hurt but i did the senible thing of goin straight to the cold water tap an slashin water into my eye then off to hospital an the doc said 2mm more over onto the clear part an i would have been blinded SO NOW WHEN I USE THAT STUFF ALWAYS WEAR SAFETEY GLASSES WOW

Guilty on all counts except the super glue in the eye—my glasses stopped that one. Sometimes it pays to not have perfect vision.

My worst was an attempt at sepuku by fumbling a No. 11 X-acto knife. I don't think I could reproduce that if I tried.
