Okay, next up on the bench is a HUGE figure kit from Dragon, namely the Iron Man Mark 38 "Igor" armor

To start with, this model has a LOT of parts to work with.

Now, thanks to the way this thing is engineered, it goes together very quickly.
The various plates cover many of the seams.
The head and torso went together very quickly

Before too long, I had all of the subassemblies finished.
Now, it should be noted that they recommend about 9g of weight in each foot to help it stand upright.
I used a lot of fishing shot for this

With the subassemblies finished, I base coated all of them with the dark grey primer from Vallejo.
I left the pieces that wouldn't show unpainted

With the primer dry, I gave all of the pieces a coat of Badger's European Dark Green

That was followed by airbrushing Badger Desert Sand ovder the green to create a camouflage pattern

With the sand dry, I used a black wash on some of the machinery parts to help bring out the detail.
I also picked out the eyes, arc reactor, and hand repulsors in white.
