Here is a very rare and beautiful resin kit : the Ingram 2 Reactive Armor from the 2nd Patlabor movie.
For those who want to know what it looks like...
The parts are HUGE and incredibly detailed. 1/24 scale. The Ingram is not articulated but will be a formidable piece of resin. Same pose as the illustration below.
After removing the resin excess, sand here and there, I painted it heavily with black Primer and then dry brushed in White (Prince August / Vallejo) to see the details and help me see the flaws. Then I began to paint with Citadel and Revell Colors.

I'm not satisfied with the result. Obviously I lack patience and precision even if it's 1/24 scale. And I really need color instruction there.
I found lately the perfect book with arts that will be useful for me. I got a number of anime comics, and line art books but never color illustrated of the mechas of Patlabor 2.
The movie itself couldn't be used since the light "ambiance" changed the appearance of the Ingrams.
So the work on it will be resumed sooner or later.
