Speaking of tanks and beautiful women, because I went for this model, which is in my possession almost 4 years and which had not played out of respect, just opened the box and I was looking at the pieces and closing the box, but now I decided to finish it, my friulmodels chains are on the way, this beautiful woman with me in the beginning of this adventure:

The subject in question is this:

Magach_7_3.jpg
Pic for discusion only

2012-07-24231151.jpg

The conversion of Legend, indeed very bad, poorly made many pieces but in the end:

2012-07-24222825.jpg

A few MAG´s Greif

2012-07-24222754.jpg

This is already the resin turret with a bit of work on the texture with a little diluted putty

2012-07-24222610.jpg

the hull in its lower part has not horrible mold lines which follows them:

2012-07-24205314.jpg

2012-07-24205335.jpg

So sanding:

2012-07-24212434.jpg

2012-07-24212444.jpg

cover holes brings to make it motorized, manually did a little texture that presents the barge:

2012-07-26004406.jpg

2012-07-26004346.jpg

a little thinner to soften the sanding

2012-07-26004544.jpg

I don´t like that a little work

2012-07-26004625.jpg

sanding !!!!!!!!!!!!

2012-07-26004731.jpg

I think that if you put the putty...

OK we are with the low proceed to check the vent it back, this has two depressions, the magach don't have:

the kit:

2012-07-26210656.jpg

The real model:

P1730668.jpg

so to cover them, cut one sheet of 0.5 mm boxes 10 X 8 mm to help fill this:

2012-07-26211527.jpg

and then to mask to put the putty:

2012-07-26211928.jpg

2012-07-26212101.jpg

My foolishness not let me, so I started to put the putty dilute with acetone...

2012-07-26213631.jpg

OK gentlemen leave it until the next

That photo of the m60 looks fairly recent, do the IDF still have them in the inventory?

Cool build, didn't know they carry conversion kits that.

Hello:

For if there is M60 in the inventory of the IDF, which are only updates on the model, this is the hull of a m-60 turret witha an m48, with Israeli attachments, ok, my work, I remove the tape and sand

2012-07-26213331.jpg

2012-07-28172031.jpg

I had that covered some gaps before the wash of putty:

MAG.jpg

2012-07-28172630.jpg

And paste the piece to the lower barge:

2012-07-28220305.jpg

There cover a few areas that will be welding but this hare with epoxy:

To paste some parts of this area:

2012-07-29213224.jpg

I went for the brackets for the skirts:

My work in this area:

2012-08-01205230.jpg

Here as you will give account sand a few handles and nuts, since this part is texturized as bottom of the barge.

2012-08-01205123.jpg

two sides sanding:

2012-08-01210337.jpg

put masking tape in this area:

2012-08-01213648.jpg

finish the surface:

2012-08-01220600.jpg

From there to cut a piece, it is necessary to cut back work...

2012-08-01223438.jpg

Forgive my terrible English, I decided first to learn to speak Italian to English...But I am already studying he he

youre really putting effort into this! i love the looks of IDF vehicles and im looking forward the rest of the build! and your english is understandable to me!

Hi thanks for the comments, you reach a point where I had to repair the next part:

Before:

ma.jpg

After:

2012-08-03223141.jpg

I did textured on the front where the hatch of the driver here error not to masking as I did with Freehand brush

2012-08-03223126.jpg

2012-08-03223121.jpg

To Texturize the turret.

Before:

2012-07-24222610-1.jpg

MAsking the turret:

2012-08-03214434.jpg

2012-08-03214441.jpg

Result:

2012-08-03223222.jpg

Here should modify the part below and append a circle of 1 mm in width so that the basket is not down, this tip I saw in several modelers that they put together these molds and then if they say is by experience, so take tip and here is the result:

2012-08-03223231.jpg

The faceplate it had to modify that left a little girl and have to do several subsequent amendments:

2012-08-03223334.jpg

And I could not contain a presentation of what will be the set:

2012-08-03232204.jpg

An other things:

2012-08-06000819.jpg

2012-08-06000831.jpg

Thanks for watching; have a nice day guys...

Another error in the apply of putty in this area, I sanding this part:

2012-08-06220847.jpg

2012-08-06220922.jpg

I really liked the finish... Because after thinking and thinking as I did not like the idea of the wheels:

ruedas.jpg

I had to work so that wheels fit, so to edit a little; fill in the gaps of the arms:

2012-08-04231537.jpg

2012-08-04231544.jpg

modify and paste things, to advance a little:

2012-08-07232342.jpg

Inside are a bolt so I put it one by one in each arm:

2012-08-07232426.jpg

2012-08-07232131.jpg

check the alignment being in the following way:

2012-08-07232549.jpg

2012-08-07232244.jpg

Ok, still missing some modifications so after follow you, greetings and thanks for watching...

I paste the two parts of the hull to already finished with the top which lacks enough work ahead, the more critical this in the back there is a gap that must be filled, I put putty and 1 mm styrene sheet:

2012-08-08215423.jpg

2012-08-08215439.jpg

2012-08-08221746.jpg

2012-08-08221811.jpg

On the back is supposed to be a door, so that cuts a few slices of gray styrene gauge 0.13 mm so sealed joints instead of the putty and sanding later:

2012-08-08215452.jpg

I'm going to snail's pace, tomorrow will we continue, good day for all.

Thanks for the comments; I'm about to start the phase of the modifications with resins; they had commented about some rear doors which is had to change, I already did:

2012-08-11194430.jpg

2012-08-11194437.jpg

Cut the periscopes of the driver which came in closed position:

2012-08-11194501.jpg

And place of the turret which not used for this purpose to see how they view them:

2012-08-12215149.jpg

2012-08-12215134.jpg

Sand the back side, rescribing lines of rear doors opening hinges and a few pieces of plastic for skirts brackets paste:

2012-08-11194347.jpg

2012-08-11194413.jpg

I go to the support of the barrel, a piece of plastic to represent this part:

7gimel.jpg

2012-08-11211224.jpg

And some rivets:

2012-08-12215108.jpg

2012-08-12215117.jpg

You are missing some things which already ire by placing; then proceeded to remove some hinges side boxes and brackets of the locks they had the mold marks.

2012-08-12215201.jpg

2012-08-12215208.jpg

I paste the missing parts of the rear-wheel drive mechanism, after closing the trench also modify protections of the rear headlights and returned after pasting the fender and put rivets:

2012-08-17231234.jpg

2012-08-17231404.jpg

2012-08-17231121.jpg

2012-08-17231413.jpg

2012-08-18200308.jpg

2012-08-18200317.jpg

Then place a piece that you needed to support the barrel, and start with the work for the brackets of the skirts:

2012-08-19190221.jpg

Styrene Board with their rivets on each side:

2012-08-19164928.jpg

2012-08-19164947.jpg

I had the idea of using some photoechts to the side arms of the media, but in the end I decided to make them with sheet styrene 0.5 mm.

2012-08-19185955.jpg

And so continue you with the remaining:

2012-08-19202707.jpg

Ok, We arrived at the use of resins to the latest support and it is necessary to paste the liezas representing the part of the vehicle

m7c-07.jpg

I was surprised the following to start legend brings the piece into two parts, paste and spackling easy:

2012-08-19095317.jpg

But is that only bring the piece to the left side twice... booing for Legend...

2012-08-19095139.jpg

2012-08-19095150.jpg

So, to amend the part left easy, sanding, spackling, and the handle, nothing from the other world:

2012-08-19163440.jpg

But for the other was a little more than work, sanding, spackling, placing parts of the hinges and stay ready:

2012-08-19163414.jpg

The set and paste it:

2012-08-19164407.jpg

2012-08-19215643.jpg

OK, no longer you follow that I got to the first coat of paint to another model that I bring in the hands and leave it there, thanks for watching and greetings

Hello to those who follow me in this adventure and thanks for the comments, I commented that I started to revise some parts of resin in search of bubbles and emptying errors to rectify them, but there is something that I not table skirts came a few broken apart of crooked...

2012-08-19094856.jpg

2012-08-19094451.jpg

And bubbly....

2012-08-19095019.jpg

2012-08-19094932.jpg

put them Cyanoacrylate and better I dedicated myself to other things including missing rivets and that I get to count them, I have been 384 until today...

2012-08-22222453.jpg

Between what progress was build support of the skirts, apart from twisty this short.... Legend to see if your conversions, you already do better I do not like pay both for something that I do... better do so Scracth although I cost more time....

2012-08-19094559.jpg

So I'm going by brackets, place boxes of plastic for the support which leads and be able to place it:

2012-08-22222428.jpg

2012-08-22222435.jpg

two sheets 7 mm by 19 cm. here the example of one in relation to the resin piece.

2012-08-22222310.jpg

And to shape:

2012-08-22222325.jpg

And to make two pieces:

2012-08-22223106.jpg

A few lines of panelling and nuts and paste to tomorrow to finish and the missing nuts:

2012-08-22224919.jpg

2012-08-22232325.jpg

2012-08-22232255.jpg

2012-08-22232304.jpg

I tell my frustration yesterday... Turned out that appeared one of the classical Muphy´s laws :

"If something happens to you once, probably you pass two times, but if it happens twice is no doubt what will happen three times..."

And if I go... If I already had seen that had parts poorly made, not is was thinking when you take as a reference the parts of Legend... Is supposed only Legend parts were average deformed...

2012-08-19094451.jpg

2012-08-19094856.jpg:

So that measure, verify, and move to the sheet of plastic so that they remain "good" according to me ha, ha, ha...idiot me

2012-08-23222352.jpg

One of the pieces completed:

2012-08-23222422.jpg

And when present in the model.... stupid me ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

2012-08-23231402.jpg

Take me it with philosophy and a bit of mockery towards my person by my stupid confidence in parts of Legend; so I went to the shower and I went to sleep leaving today to make other new pieces... Legend, my idiocy by me based upon their parts error ha, ha, ha often happens

youre really putting in the details! too bad the resin parts are not up to par but your scratchbuilding is stunning!

Hello everyone and thanks for the comment andrei383, at some point in my life I read something that fix my way and I wrote on my facebook:

"Although life hit us there is no reason to leave everything, remember your impetus you took to achieve a goal, but you were not always on the first attempt, you must be constant, even if the fall is strong in relation to the momentum that we take, we have to get up with the same desire to, learn from mistakes and move forward with more eager."

We are going forward

ROUND 2:

In the previous post commented on my stupidity and confidence in Legend with skirts, so we will again, but now if you take exact references....

Again to copy and paste into it the sheet styrene and the drill.

2012-08-24202847.jpg

2012-08-24204302.jpg

Already sanded proceeded to write panels which are two plates ...

2012-08-24204606.jpg

2012-08-24204556.jpg

Went to present in the model, ready:

2012-08-24211215.jpg

Already change not?

2012-08-24230656.jpg

And paste the brackets.

2012-08-24234352.jpg

And the work is completed...

2012-08-25074101.jpg

2012-08-25074116.jpg

2012-08-25172402.jpg

Now if there leave Second Round win I... and later ended with brackets to the front plate. Thanks for watching and for the comments look forward to good term with this model

Some very skilled model making happening on this thread, is a real treat to watch the amount scratch building your putting into your model, its gonna make a for a great little replica of the real thing :)

great work mate,

shane

Thanks for the comments guys, well I have to go with this model; then make a few holes in the brackets of the skirts with a bit to place the rivets:

2012-08-25173913.jpg

2012-08-25174208.jpg

2012-08-26225239.jpg

After you finish these I'm going with the faceplate, should be holes for headlight guards, so we take steps and do the holes:

2012-08-25220225.jpg

2012-08-25220755.jpg

2012-08-25220812.jpg

Finished work we proceed to mask and put Maskin Neo to cover what we don't want you to texturice:

2012-08-26064458.jpg

Rust Oleum in action:

2012-08-26111006.jpg

And a past with Mr. Surfacer:

2012-08-26155335.jpg

And paste:

2012-08-26155439.jpg

Place a few rivets and this is an idea of how it will be with protections:

2012-08-26224538.jpg

2012-08-26225040.jpg

And I'm going to the lower part of the front plate:

2012-08-26225255.jpg

And it protrudes, so the preoblema is sand a little, but as he had a few cracks and put Putty I have to wait until it is dry to sanding and pair both pieces:

2012-08-26225346.jpg

Here you can better see the problem. you have to sand the outgoing:

2012-08-26225417.jpg

Well stop momentarily and went for the second coat of paint in an IAF F-15 I Ra'am, upload photos after model .... greetings to all.
