I was wondering if anyone has any info or experience using Hypodermic Needles as gun barrels.
I've seen pix of them being used, but haven't really come across any good information on the process and such. Like which needles for what scale and so forth.
Thanks.
Cheers!

Hi, Ferris, I bought some lengths of fine steel tubing a couple of years ago, I'll check and home tonight and see if I can find the name of the company. I ordered online, but their name escapes me.

I also found that I could get by with brass tube stock just as easily, which my local hobby stores all stock.

I also use my Dremel and a cutting wheel to cut the tubing, to prevent distorting the tube's shape, and then clean any burring with a fine file or emery cloth.

I also remembered an article that I had read online, as I was looking around for tubing, and here it is, at Aircraft Resource Center:

The company I bought my tubing from is listed in the article, McMaster-Carr (http://www.mcmaster.com/#)

I do recall seeing something, somewhere, about buying needles from a medical supply company. If you know anyone who has diabetes and has to give himself insulin injections, ask him about ordering, too (though people I know who have it, have all switched to insulin pumps).

Hope that all helps!

@ Gundamhead: Thanks! I've seen a few of their products, but could never find their site. Beautiful stuff! Thanks for the link!
@ the Baron: I totally forgot about ARC, thanks!
Well, this should get me started, thanks a bunch!
Cheers!
