depending on the crew , I'd just give them the day off if the air was down -- although , I see all these vids popping up in my YT feed and everyone is using cordless nailers ,,, face nailing in at 20 , 30 degree angles ( wtf ! ) ,,, I can't watch construction vids ; makes me go crazy with disbelief and anger .
watching some of that construction , I'm thinking , " I can pull all that apart with my bare hands , dipshi ts ."

Alas, my friends... gone are the golden years of the 60s and 70s, when technology assisted, and humans still learned by doing, not by scrolling. Collectively, we are giving up the ghost, that spirit of "I can figure this out", that self reliance fostered by trust in hard earned experience, skill and common sense.

My mum was sitting up in her hospital bed, last stages of a battle with cancer, balancing her checkbook... she'd used a little calculator she kept in her purse, then did it all again by hand.
"Mom, what are you doing?" I asked.
—"Just making sure I didn't make a mistake with the calculator" was her reply!

Walking by the river today put me in mind of @Pantherman 's pics of taking a break.
It was a good reminder that I'm allowed to enjoy a break, even if I am retired!

Walking the dog by the river, the air still crisp after a march storm (nature's version of the unexpected sucker punch), I snapped a few.

Just two weeks ago, I was walking on six inches of ice; the crews have broken the ice and it has been swept away, in anticipation of Spring melt.
