Be glad your hobby isn't Warhammer Pretty much any tool Games Workshop sells, you can get for probably about half the price from a "real" modelling brand. Then consider this in the light of the beauty store/generic hobby shop vs. model stores.

Yes, even at hobby lobby I learned they will have the same products from the modeler section in other parts of the store -cheaper.

I think I had picked up some small plastic bottles with applicator tips that I was going to use for ca glue- don't recommend it. Anyway I decide to browse the store to see if there were any items that might be useful in the future. I was in a different section and there were the same bottles for about $1 cheaper!

Well, yeah, the kits are also about four times as expensive as you would expect to pay for a comparable "modelling" model But hey, they have a captive market … (which puts me in mind of a comment long ago on The Bolter and Chainsword: "We discussed it and decided GW isn't a monopolist" Yeah, right — first up, they are, and second, who made you the arbiter on whether I can say that I think GW is a monopolist?)

Plate pliers

Used in cutting glass. If you need to cut a few inches or less, off a sheet of glass, these snap your cut after its scored with a glass cutter.
They came in use today bending PE. Even though I have a PE bending tool from Micro Mark, I couldn't figure out how to make the horizontal bend that follows the first vertical bend on PE6, using that tool.
The plate pliers were wide enough to hold the full length of the part as I manually made the second bend.

I can make the next vertical bend with the PE tool.
Since I retired from glazing two years ago, the plate pliers can migrate from the work tool box to the modeling tool box.

I do too! I was thinking about that the other day- the difference between the way Americans and the English and I guess Canadians talk.

I have something similar but I stuck some tamiya masking tape on the jaws so they don't mark the PE. Pantherman
