Hello from Oklahoma

Hi, just want to introduce myself. My name is Paul, and I live in a small town just southwest of Tulsa. I have been steadily building for about 17 years, now. I was side lined by a triple bypass back then and have been retired ever since. I tend to march to my own drum as far as building goes, so you won't see any rivet counting from me. I mostly tend to build large scale, but I have been known to delve into different scales and subjects. Mostly aircraft though. I'll have to dig around and see if I can garner some pics.

This is my 32 Tamiya F4U-1 that I have recently completed. It won a couple of monthly awards that my club sponsors.



I'm not much of a figure painter, though.

Greetings, fellow styrene* addict! Really good F4U, and as far as I'm concerned, the pilot looks fine as seen by the human eye at scale.


*There is an old rock song by Eric Clapton, "Cocaine." It works better than the original if the word "styrene" is substituted for cocaine, which is what a buddy of mine did. That's where we came up with saying we were both styrene addicts. As addictions go, it's beneficial instead of harmful.
