I'm a Gunpla guy and anyone who's built a gundam knows that the instructions are all in Japanese. That's usually never a problem, except when trying to figure out the suggested paint colors. I thought I would post the links I have and ask if anyone else knows of any links to color match the suggested paint colors? oh and Google translate is never helpful.
Most of the time I can reference this chart and figure it out:

And then use these charts to help choose the best match if using a different paint:

But this doesn't always work (maybe because I'm building really old kits), some of the colors in the instructional manual are not on the Mr. Color chart. I'm under the impression that the instructions are referencing GSI Creos paints, because they make Mr. Gundam paints.
This is really just for my own curiosity. I will always test out a color and make up my own mind. But it's sometimes helpful to know what the intended color is supposed to be.
