Help Support Scale Model Addict:

I have been doing some more work on the Texas. This kit has had some fit issues and I have had to redo the fighting tops a few times to get everything somewhat aligned. The instructions don't show where to exactly place a component that is critical to the alignment, so its trial and error.
I have the guns loosely fitted and have started bending and forming the PE catapults.
Super impressive! That scale is very tedious work, and you're throwing PE catapult on there too... Great work.

I got back to the bench and built up and installed the catapult. I forgot how bad Trumpeter is with fitting on their 1/700 kits and didn't do a good enough pre-fit check and struggled with getting the parts to align to the turret. More to come.

It has been a productive past couple of nights and now its looking closer to completion. I am debating if I want to continue with all the guard rails and ladders. Dreadnaughts are a real challenge with all the compound curves along the hull. Then there is the rigging of this little beast. I have a new set of fine adhesive tips to make it easier to attach .03mm and .05mm rigging threads that I have been wanting to try out.

Looking great!
What do you mean by fine "adhesive tips" for the rigging?

I beats using the old toothpick, sewing needle, and 1/16 diameter plastic applicator I was using in the past.
