Thank you for taking a look guys.

There is hardly any project without trouble. This is no different:

Thanks, man!

Here are a few pictures for those, who not watch the movie. Let is suffice to say that this one is a pain. If you are really experienced with sloppy parts fit and bad instruction sequences, this is for you. If not, I recommend you look for some other game.

The engine was pretty easy, but needs a lot of clean up to fit properly and still I needed a lot of white cglue to fill up deep seems between the parts.

The winch was the easiest bit so far:

The chassis frame is a whole bag of problems: Lack of positive fit, with lots of room for misalignment; wrapped parts; completely senseless construction sequence, lots of clean-up: You name it! This as bad as it gets. If you don't take proper care this one will not sit on its wheels and tracks, but look like a dog doing the leg-up.
After realising I could not follow the instructions I took most of it apart and constructed the frame in back ward sequence, which solved number problems.
I am satisfied so far, but it took about 7 or 8 hours at the what should have been a matter of 2.

I hope you like it so far!

The detail really is great. That engine alone looks fantastic.

What Scott said, nice detail on that engine. Might be a dog of a kit, but it will look good.

Thanks guys!
It's much appreciated!

Hello, fellow addicts!

I am sorry for my long absence. I might not have been posting much, but I watched your progress postings and vids and I must say that this year is even a better a contest than last year.

I have been snailing along with my project, too, and I fear I once again will be testing the limits of my spare time to get this one done.

Here's the latest bit of progress:

.. and a few snapshots as appetizers:
