F-14 Tomcat--Grim Reapers

Thanks for the compliments, guys.
Wish I could say I felt as good about this build as you all seem to.

Got the detail painting as finished as it's going to get.
Short-shot the decals because there were some of them giving me issues.
I also lost almost all of my interest in this build, which is sad, because that means it suffered for it.
Here, though, are the finish pics of the build as she sits

Some closeups of the cockpit (arguably the best part of this build)

Don't be too hard on yourself Q. This plane is a tough build regardless of which kit is used. Given that you lost interest part way through the build, you are to be commended on completing it! Glad you went ahead and put the ordinance on, it does kick it up a notch. The crew looks good in the cockpit. Remember Q, the goal is completion not perfection...Good job, mission accomplished! ;) I for one am anxious to see what you will tackle next!!

Just caught up with this build Q, and I think it turned out good! As fumblethumbs said its completion not
perfection. Love your vids and am also looking forward to what you start next.

I'd agree with the guys, Q - completing this kit is great enough alone, but with all those corrections You've done it turns out superb. Nice job, my friend ;)

You might not think so Q, but I agree with the other guys - nice job. Something reaching completion beats an unfinished shelf queen any day in my books. Not only did you finish it up and try a fairly demanding build of a subject you might not have normally built (I don't think I ever read one review that said the Italeri Tomcat was an easy build), but you also learnt a bunch from it.

I'm waiting to see what the workshop turns out next. :)

Congrats on the completion and I think she looks pretty garsh darn good Q!

I have built about 423,874 aircraft kits in my day and the F-14 is the most difficult I think by far. It's very rewarding once you get it finished, but it usually takes me a long time and several cases of whiskey to accomplish it.

Now go get some more aves and lets see what's next.
