Who remembers 60s and 70s models they made more than one version of? Here is my all time favorites the Hippie Hemi and the Rampaging Reptile, the kit is being made new again by AMT round 2 with both decal sets, the new kit is more geared to the reptile with yellow parts. I added my own version i call Black Mamba.

They are beautiful so much cool stuff stock, 3 different wind screen and clear oil pan colors a chrome crank shaft, rotors in the blower, rubber blower belt, both decal sets, a stand and back drop to set the car on, and a few other things in a classic box. I wanted one from the time i was 12 but it was a $6.00 kit and the parents wouldn't spend me more than $3.00 for a kit.

They are a bit complicated but i figured them out after doing the hippie. the chassis has to be built from the center out letting each glue joint set before doing the next so you can tweak it as you go to get it straight. The front end is made to be steerable but it just flops all over so glue it tight and call it a day.

Model world had them as low as $12.00 i bought 3 still have one sealed in the box. the hippie was a newer kit in a regular box with just hippie decals. Some kits now are close to that price, once they hit $40 + i pass.

Its why I'm buying the big money Iteleri ones now..they keep going up.
The one I'm working on now went up over 100.00 in 2 years.
Just picked up the Bugatti type 35 for 177.00...its usually over 200
And just ordered the fiat 806 at 180.00 that's over 220.00 usualy.
