Well, I am near done with the TIE fighter, and don't think I have time for the X-wing, so I am going to start on something else, the Cylon Raider:

And a few photos:

The only way to glue together the wings is with clamps, lots of clamps......

seam to fill:

Dry fit, no glue:

Thanks all! Work is daily with this one until next week, so she will be moving fast.

It is one huge model, in fact it won't fit in the spray booth....

Warning, I was in a very silly mood yesterday...

Thanks Patrick, this is a fast model to build with a few minor seames.

Here is the next video, no photos today:

Here is the next update, I should have time to post photos tomorrow:

Drilled out the barrels....

Using Tamiya surface primer, very much like Mr. Surfacer 500:

Gun Barrel in vice for sanding, they have a pretty bad seam running down the center:

Light test:

And light blocking:

Body glued:

I have a few seams left and it will be ready for primer.

Now that is a lot of clamps! Looking great, dig the vids!

Definitely a lot of work going on there, but it doesn't seem to be fighting you much

It didn't until last night, there are some major problems with the way the wings go onto the body. I will detail it out later. Got it all sorted out tonight.
