Canopy-Related Question

Hey all, just a little aircraft-related question here.

I see a lot of people with the canopy closed and in place for the painting stage (masked too of course) even though they're planning to pose it open. This seems like a good idea since you don't need to find another way to mask/protect the open cockpit from the paint. My question is, do I tack the canopy in place with a tiny bit of Krystal Klear (or something similar) or do I just sit it on there...I' worried if I rest it on it could fall off or get blown off by the airbrush action.

I have used blue-tack, and white glue, to fix a canopy in place temporarily. Be careful to test both on some scrap first. I've had on brand of blue-tack leave something like an oily mark on the flat finished paint, and too much white glue lift paint... Mostly those issues were due to problems with my preceding prep work however.

Great, thanks for all your responses! Now I've got a bunch of different solution options to try out.

Thanks again!
