AMT Excelsior Deflector Dish Problems.

Okay I recently moved and found a few of my old star trek kits (A LOT of them). Including the AMT Excelsior kit that I build when I was a wee lad. Well it is mangled and needs repair, however I am missing the deflector dish (Clear center part). I don't have the funds at the moment to hunt the piece down on evilbay or anything. I am going to try to scratchbuild one but I am needing some ideas/tips on how to do it with this model. Any help would be greatly appreciated or pics of the piece itself. Thanks again, God bless.
