AMT Eagle Transporter-FINISHED

[Quaralane]

Following the work on Moonbase Alpha, I went to another Space: 1999 kit.
This time, working from the AMT/Ertl Eagle Transporter.
This will be an out of the box build.

The box art, showing a rough idea of one way for the Eagle to look.


As I mentioned above, this will be an out of the box build, so the kit's flaws and inaccuracies will be staying.
Here we have the finished work on the various subassemblies.
The kit actually assembles fairly well, considering that it was originally issued way back in the 70s.

I'd be happy to do up a Hawk. If I could find one I could afford, that is.

keep your eye on Evilbay, I found one after one year of looking for $25 still sealed with shrink wrap. And then there is the warp models version....

Trying to stay away from the resin for a bit, Grendels.
Resin tends ot cost more...and money's not something I have a lot of right now.

OMG I remember watching that show back then, and actually built that kit when I was a kid. Man I would love to get my hands on one again.

Primer work completed.
Due to nasty weather, I've resorted to using a thin coat of Testors Neutral Grey from a brush, rather than my normal spray coat of primer.


Weather still not cooperating, so the brush-painting continues, with time with a thinned down white acrylic paint


Detail painting, and the beginning of a black wash for both weathering and to bring out detail.
Engine bells were painted wioth a custom mix of black and silver as I had no "Steel" to work with.
Cockpit and pod windows were painted in with a light metallic blue


Basic assembly is complete
