I really want the cockpit to pop . I just eyeballed a couple grey shades and some emboss powder I had on hand. Finally got handy with 3mm and 2mm Tamiya tape on the door panels. How did i live without it? I'm trying to think of something to use to show piping around the seat inlays.

Is there any rule of thumb when it comes to engine bay color? When the body has the firewall and wheel wells, etc. molded in, how much is body color and how much usually black?

Yup, just be sure to get the right weight for your purposes. There is some that is not black. Test the paint first, I used acrylic.
