Thanks for posting. Some cool stuff there; the F-35 looks a little bigger than I envisioned.

It's bigger than some would think.
A bit smaller than its cousin the F-22, but still decent sized

Well, John, we happen to have one of the largest air bases in the country just north of us.
They service a HUGE number of planes while supporting three full fighter squadrons.

Kind of comes in handy for getting shows like this every couple of years.

By contrast, the closest the Blue Angels come to us is about a 4-5 hour drive to the south

I was talking about the planes, I grew up in Colorado and saw the mountains every day. I do miss them, and could use more visits to that area, but Texas does have it's charms as well.
