They say, 'All kits have issues' but this one has no issues so the rule does not apply.

This has to be the best model I have ever built, absolutely loved this build, brilliant design and superb engineering. if pressed to find something wrong I might refer to the aerial mast on the fin, as being moulded in its also very vulnerable, mine broke before I worked out how to protect it. Some plastic card resolved that one.

This late 109 demonstrates the challenges faced by Germany' manufacturing late in the war. Kotare explain in the instructions how panels often didn't fit and they reproduce this by design, not to an extreme extent, just enough to satisfy those wanting as accurate kit. Also it demonstrates the vagaries of paint supplies with panels being painted in different RLM76 shades or even left unpainted. The top camo comprises different schemes and overpainted numbers. It was painting that offered the biggest challenge.

It's an aerial Chris. The instructions say what type but I cannot check as I have already thrown them away.

My first post about the Tornado is now up.

Everyone I know who has built this kit says the same thing. I felt that way about the Kotare Spit Mk.Va too!
I'm waiting for them to release a Mk VIII or IX (though a PR XI would be awesome too). 1/32 is not my preferred medium so if I do one I want it to be one of my favorite marks.

Awesome 109 and I absolutely love the latches on the engine cover, the harness attachment, camo pattern on the tail... etc

I recently did a late-war 109 from Zoukei Mura, so I passed on this one. But having done their Spit Va I can attest...ZERO PROBLEMS.

For this reason I'm going to pre-purchase the 109-E due to ship Q4 this year.
