Started this a couple of months ago. The Revell 1969 Boss 302 Mustang. Haven't built a car since high school so I thought id give it a try. Also wanted something to work on during my club's build night. Jets, my normal build, require so much detail painting as you go that doing a jet at build night wasn't the best choice for me.

I also wanted to try doing one of those engine wiring kits instead of thread like I did before.

Been steadily working at it and have gotten to the joining of the body, glass and interior.

Need to do some cutting and adjustments to the exhaust next before adding the chassis.

Love the details on the engine- Body and interior look great too!
Keep up the good work and keep the photos coming!

I like the pre made dist, wire set , are the wood inlays in the interior and dash decals, or just really good paint work?

Well, so much for the Boss. Found myself trying to correct the body paint when it was time to put on the front and rear of the car. Botched it up every time in some way or other. Finally sent it to file 13. Oh well …..

What happened Wig? Is there no way to salvage it?

It was numerous little things like paint going where it shouldn't or not going on like I wanted it to. It seemed like each time I masked and tried to fix something, it made more of a mess. It just isn't coming out the way I wanted. Joe has asked for the car so I'll send it to him. He's got plans for it.

Ok. I understand when it just gets beyond what you wanted for it. That yellow was looking really good to. And good for you giving it to a friend so he can salvage it to his liking. Favors like that always bring good returns in the future. 👍👍
