Well i have been doing more research and found a guy who did a test with Revell Aqua Color in a airbrush and used distilled water, lacquer thinner and isopropyl. The lacquer thinner didnt work at all, made the paint go gloopy. The water was good but he said the isopropyl was excellent. So might...

yes, can get the ak thinner. Now to find an airbrush cleaner

the revell thinner is quite difficult to get hold of in Uk. Any other suggestions?

ok, might dig out compressor etc and try airbrush. Got some plastic sheets i could practice on. What sort of ratio should paint and thinner mix in?

well i do have an airbrush but never used it. Bit worried about noise and possible pollutants as have fish tanks in same room. And to be honest wouldnt know where to start with what paints, thinning etc. Any advice?

Yes, thats them. Did try a plane body and was very little brush marking and no primer used. But makes sense with primer.

I like the aqua color but the pots are a nightmare, not well designed at all.
