Chewie says the Falcon is ready for takeoff...Docking Bay 94! B)) IT'S FINISHED! . ;D ..after 8 1/2 months. Fun kit actually, the cockpit was the hardest part really. One slight seam to fill behind clear part. (Here's a tip--don't EVER get Tamiya putty on clear plastic--you've been warned!)...

I just noticed the other day that when I went to attach pics I have always just attached them at 1200xsomething out of Picasa..All my previous posts were done this way and it worked fine. In the last couple of days I got a message saying each file could only be 100something. No biggie. Just...

Falcon UPDATE! ;D Comments Welcome...The weathering process is NOT my strong suit...I freely admit...I find the streaking process very difficult to get accurate...here's where I am so far..I did manage to print my own decal sheet of tiny "="'s signs to put all over the thing however! 8)...

Yes it is the Revell. The newer release with Darth Maul on the front top corner of the box. The scale is veerrrry close to 1:60. Its also close to 1:72....just depends on whose figures you are using to determine scale. Could probably pass for either or somewhere in the middle.

I needed a serious break from Falcon weathering... :-\...so I broke out this little reissue Snap-Tite kit yesterday. This has always been one of my favorite SW ships and I never had the toy as a kid, so I'm gonna repaint and weather this up nice. This is just kind of a mock-up pic. It's not the...

On a side note---my GF built her Snap-Tight Land speeder yesterday. I just let her build it straight out of the box. I think she enjoyed it! Took about 2 hrs. I helped her glue some parts in, but the rest she did all on her own! She's having a tough time finding a job right now, so I thought...

UPDATE! Here we are! Final Assembly of the 2 halves was a bit nerve racking...but all came out well...everything is now "on" the ship save the canopy parts. Stuck all the photoetch on this morning with Future and gave it the old "upside down and shake lightly" hold test. Nothing fell out, so...

Luke's Landspeeder. And his true introduction.

Awesome project! I have that kit in my to do pile as well. I'm doing it with my GF as an "us" activity". So I'll prob just let her put it together as is! Looking forward to your build!

thanks! I went to attach the sidewalls last night which in my brain was gonna be a 5 minute job...umm no...the curved walls go on fine. The 4 straight sections on the mandibles are proving more difficult oddly. Will try to get those on and my PE grills all on by the end of the weekend coming up...

yeah...it was always the plan to do them...and they are even about 3 different shades of grey due to paint mixing. I still DEFY anyone to mix 2 colors togther for airbrushing more than once and have it be the exact same color...It simply IS NOT possible. LOL. :P

UPDATE----ALL painting is DONE!! WHOOO HOOOO!!!! ;D It might not be a perfect match to the 32" studio scale model as far as I'm concerned..it's pretty darn close. 8) (especially considering the website I was using for reference pics went down and never came back about 2 weeks ago) Many...

Yes. Model Master 50/50 mix 2 grey colors and thinner...obviously the paint had settled to the bottom of the bottle with the thinner on the top, but i stirred it up .

thanks scratchy!...............somebody riddle me this...If I poured the rest of my already mixed base coat paint for airbrushing in an airtight glass bottle and let it sit for about 3 weeks, why when I went to use it today for touch ups..was it a slightly different color when I airbrushed...
