I hate to derail this thread more than already, wait, not I don't!

Have any of you seen the film "Der Tiger"? It is on Amazon as "The Tank" right now.

I heard about it before it came to theaters, and was turned off by the premise/trailers. But figured I'd watch it for free, or when it came to a streaming service I already paid for. Just curious what you thought. No spoilers here if you want to discuss it in detail we can do another thread.

Does anyone know what these two parts are and what color they would have been? AI is telling me the first image is a wooden jack stand. It had no idea what the canister looking thing is. There are two straps on the canister. Tool kit for cleaning rods?

The thing in the first photo is the driver's visor:

The two horizontal parts can slide open (as in this photo I took of Bovington's Tiger when it was newly restored) and closed (as on your part). It would normally be closed in combat, and the driver would have to rely on his single periscope as well as observation by the rest of the crew.

As mentioned, the canister is a portable fire extinguisher.

I should be able to wrap this up in a few days but border has me putting these tiny pieces on the tracks when they were perfectly able to mold them on other sections of track. This is just stupid and I do not get any satisfaction gluing tiny pieces on. Please note this if any of you happen to be executives with Border.

20-30 mins of work. Instead of feeling stress relief I'm now aggravated! Haha. And Egbert is going to comment "More bang for your buck Ron!" Haha
 
That is poor kit design, there. They could have moulded those teeth at the correct spacing to let you glue a whole row of them onto a length of track at once, which would save a lot of effort.

TBH, the more I read/see about Border kits, the less inclined I am to buy one. They make all kinds of elementary mistakes in their kits by taking shortcuts, and also apparently in how they design them.

That's good to know. I'll have to look up what year this mold is. To me, this isn't something I want to spend extra time on, it's the inside of tracks which are hidden. It's especially senseless because the straight tracks with all the horns in place from the factory don't look any different- well they actually look better! Nice job on that plane btw!
