Question. These are the bogeys for the suspension. Am I being anal for sanding these lines out? Is that what everyone does? Or does paint hide these and it's a waste of time? Just wondering cuz I want to get better but you also want to get faster

I would definitely have to clean those up and anything else even if it's never going to be seen. It would just drive me nuts knowing that they were there every time I looked at it. But that's just me.

I agree with everything you said. Especially since I just bought a visor magnifier. Wow! So much better than readers. And every little line just pops out and you have to either sand it or scrape it or it'll bug you so that you can't sleep at night so it's best to just get it done.

I know I'm not the quickest Builder and it is Memorial weekend but I work a couple hours on it and it doesn't look like it but man there's a lot of little nitpicking work on this. Fun as heck but time-consuming

Open-topped vehicles will do that for you. An AFV kit with a full interior is like having two kits in one, an open-topped vehicle is a kit-and-a-half or so.

Working on the Spade. Namely all the pulleys that operate the spade for up and down. My new magnifying visor Works excellent except for my slight shakiness trying to get the shackle into the pulley. I said man I need some extra hands. A blob of funtak to the rescue. Still. It took me hours last night.

Alrighty then. I got the chassis together. I haven't built the long Tom yet but that's coming right up. I'm priming this in Black with Badger airbrush black primer. I'm really liking this stuff. I've never tried it before. It went on beautiful. Self-leveling. Now if it sticks and doesn't scrape off easily I'll be in business

Yeah I stocked up on that I bought two cans but that stuff's expensive. I think this stuff is going to be way cheaper. If it's good stuff. If

I don't know. Shading it like I did with the white maybe helped just a tiny little bit. I think it would be more noticeable on the body. It doesn't seem to do much of anything to these bogeys. And I understand every little bit helps but I'm more of an instant gratification type of guy and believe me, most of the time that isn't a good thing. Here's one of the bogeys I think is kind of finished. No clear coat on it yet. And I probably shouldn't have dry brushed it with light gunmetal. To me? It doesn't look right on Armor or at least armor that is completely OD Green. I think I would get a better effect if I use two different types of olive drab. Maybe like one full strength and the next add some Lightner like buff or dark yellow or something like that. The lighter olive drab would be the weathering. At least that's what my eye is telling me.

I think it looks good. I use Ak Laq and have a faded OD I like. When I'm out of that I'll add a few drops of yellow to OD and that's a nice faded look.

Yeah what's the deal with that? I've been looking for their red oxide primer for about a month and can't find it. Saw it on the internet for about $20 and homey ain't paying that! I did pick up a can of Tamiya dull red in its place today. Also, ordered some Mr finisher in bottles to prime with.

Got a coat of Olive drab on it.. Actually it's called olive drab2. I think I'm going to custom mix a lighter color for the Sun bleached look. Working on the long piece of s*** phone can't stand this piece of s*** try and talk into it and it decides what I am saying. Horse crap. Stupid ass phone. Anyways. Working on the Long Tom. Amazing bit of engineering. Everything works

It's just so cool. They even give you a wrench and little tiny Nuts and Bolts. And the neat thing is? It all works! On the equilibrators a metal rod fits into two poly caps. It was kind of tight so I just took a drill bit and reamed it out until the metal rod would slide smooth. It's just all too cool man. This is why I do this model building. The coolness Factor

Got all the road wheels and the track on one side. I don't know. I painted the wheels olive drab and the body came out of a spray can. Ts28 or something like that. They don't match so I had to spray some olive drab around the body to make it look okay and try to blend it all in. Not really happy. I'll put the decals on and blend in a little olive drab here and there along with some dirt and stuff. Hopefully that'll Bring It Around. But word of warning. When you start off painting sub assemblies in one color? And that same color will also be used on the body? Don't sit there and start procrastinating saying this might look better if I do it this way. No. One color throughout the whole build and then at the end you can dick around with the weathering to make it look good. Pima. I make double the work and then buy the time I get to the end of the build I'm sick and tired of it and want to throw it away or start building something else. I can't do that. I got to start something and I have to finish it. None of this half ass s*** for me. Okay I feel better now thanks
