Most of the 300 mph+ cars do not have suspension's and the chassis is built as rigid as they can make them. In this racing flex is a bad thing, they dont take off hard like a drag car and they dont corner, they dont need to load or unload under power or flex to adjust to changing track surfaces. As you asked before balance and stability are key. Some of these are so low to the ground, how do you manage to not bottom out?!
I worked for 2 years with a shop building 3 pro comp drag cars in that time, i built custom motorcycles with two friends in my town, i had a small line of custom parts, an air intake that looks like a top fuel intake that i was granted a US design patten for, a primary belt guard, rear brake caliper mounts, a velocity stack and shaped mounting plates for the intakes. After moving to NC i got a call from a shop that was building the Budweiser bike for Brandon Bernstein they wanted the intake. I have been a metal worker and fabricator for years, my main source of income is repairing medical endoscopes replacing the fiberoptic lighting in them, and making replacement parts, i will be going on 30 years of doing that. All in all i dont stop unless i really feel like crap, but gitten old does that.I think you need to build..a real one now!
Ha, exactly what I was thinking: it's like @RacerX is describing the back of his hand as he walks us through a build!this explains
Fix and create is what i have done my whole life, i dont know what it would be like to stop.Ah..this explains how you can build these.
Look at everyone in this group and what they are good at, you can all describe things about your military vehicles aircraft and ships i know almost nothing about, accept the obvious. Seeing the wood work some do is incredible, whole dios with amazing detail. You got to look at people that talk **** about modelers and just smile, they have no idea about what we have done and how we got here.Ha, exactly what I was thinking: it's like @RacerX is describing the back of his hand as he walks us through a build!
You owe the kitty 25 centsOh wow guys sorry i guess i was kind of in the moment there in that comment i will be more mindful of my choice of words in the future. I see the owners of the site have great sense of humor for the choice of the replacement word and were kind enough to make the change.
