Heya everyone! I've been lurking around for a year or so and realized i never made an intro thread. I see some familiar names/avatars from other sites so that's pretty cool. Anyways, Name is James nice to be here.
I started modeling sometime around 11 or so? I moved a lot with my mom so I was never in a spot long enough to really have a hobby. I got back into the hobby in early 2000's but do to work started moving a lot on my own. It wasn't until about 3-4 years ago I finally settled enough to create a space to build on a regular basis. I have always just built 1/24 or 1/25 scale autos, but since coming back to the hobby I started branching off into other subjects. Most recently one of the winged variety, which turns out, are surprisingly fun to build.
Here are some of my most recent builds.
Revell 1/144 Apollo 11 Saturn V (I added polyfil and red orange yellow flashing leds to make it look like it was blasting off for my sons room)
Revell 1/25 Corvette C7.R
Tamiya 1/20 Honda RA272
Tamiya 1/24 Calsonic Skyline GT-R (R33)
My current projects:
Eduard 1/48 P-51 Mustang
Zoomon 1/24 Porsche 911.2 RSR (AO Racing "Rexy")
Aoshima 1/24 Nissan Skyline GTR R35 V1
Revell 1/16 VW Bus
Anyways, thats about all of it. I plan to take the R35 and Rexy car to my first IPMS show near me in November. Never been, and I dont think they will stack up with the quality of builds, but I want to get better and the only way to do that is to look at those better than you and keep building!
