Started this the other day. What a difference between the 132nd Corsair I just built from the same company. I haven't found any Flash. The fit is excellent along with the plastic. It feels good. The whole kit is just 10 times better. You were right I got a bum kit with that Corsair. I'll give you a couple pictures but I have to go real quick.. go like Shaq

Did a little extra wiring on the cockpit. Kind of fun to do but sometimes you wonder why cuz you can't see none of it. I started to really detail the engine out when I realized you can't see none of it either. All in all the fit is just excellent if you take your time

Working on the wings and the machine guns. Yesterday worked on the center Spar arrangement. The fit is amazing. I absolutely can't find anything wrong with it. Look at the Wing root. And that's not glued. That top piece where the instrument panel goes isn't glued either.

I agree. There was a lot to look at on the Stuka. Those Wing slats and those big ass wheel pants when I was 11 or 12 my dad bought me a Cox 049 Stuka. I thought it was a coolest thing. It just looked badass. My dad said let me fly it first time I'll show you how. You do realize when people say that it never ends good. Straight up straight down. I looked at my dad with a strangest face because he was a B-29 pilot. What the hay? I never got that thing running again. But my neighbors had a circular driveway and I had about 12 ft of string on it and would flip it around in a circle really quick until it would fly without an engine and I actually got pretty darn good at it. Back in Toledo ohio. 1971

That is the biggest clamp I've seen used on a model, but the wingspan of this kit dictates getting medieval.

Thanks. I can't wait to start on the outside. I might even prime it tonight. And I'm going to keep the canopy off it until I'm done. I haven't had good luck with canopies so far. Something always happens. Plus the Stuka has about 64 windows so I'm going to hold off on doing all that shizzle. I can't wait to Pig this plane out. Should be fun.

Got it all primed up and the wheel pants kind of painted. Put the prop together and gave it a coat. After I primed it I shook my head in dismay because how could I not see that seem line on the top of the engine?

Don't dismay.
My brother-in-law once showed me how, when drywalling, a quick coat of primer will highlight all the areas that need attention. Goes with the territory.

It doesn't bother me. Just a lot of work with rivets and I don't know how to do that so I'm going to learn. I hear you with the drywall. I used to be a journeyman drywaller. My first boss told me here's a 8 inch box. Yeah fill it with mud and run it down the wall where you see the tape? This will be the first coat. No problemo. Huge 1000 unit Apartments going up. Then I graduated to the 10-in Box. He says this is the second coat on your tape. Yeah buddy I was a working fool back then. I did about 30 units and my boss came up me and said hey man you need to stop. I said why? He says you're too perfect. If the drywall comes out a little bit you need to ride up on top of it so that eventually when we sand it's all flat. He says look at your walls that you did and absolutely straight lines perfect and it looks really good but it isn't. That 10-in box needs to waver up and down all over the place to fill in the low spots. Click. The light bulb went off. Oh now I get it.

Okay. Got the body color done the yellow stripes painted with testers flat yellow enamel thinned with Mr color leveling thinner. After 30 or 40 years that paint is still excellent. So I'm going to put on the landing gear and maybe a couple other things and get some gloss clear sprayed on it so I can work on the decals tomorrow. And I can have fun weathering it and possibly throw down some winter camouflage. Not too sure yet.

Thanks. I did some limited research and I did find out something I didn't know. The way they painted the Stuka with the geometric shapes? Basically stayed the same throughout the war.

I gave it a wash and that was about it for weathering. Down the road I'll probably do a little bit more like exhaust and maybe winter camouflage. Enjoy.

Thank you. There's some mistakes and seam lines especially on the front nose underneath. Sometimes you wonder how in the heck you missed those seam lines. I mean, they practically knock you upside of the head. But it's fun and I learn more every model I build.
