Hi All,

As I just finished this yesterday, I thought I'd share it - Tamiya's old M48 kit, pretty much OOB but with some Milliputt Gun Mantle covers and some AM C -Ration boxes and some other stowage form my spares box. It's only my third finished 1/35 kit so any comments or suggestions welcome.

Cheers and thanks for taking a look.

finished 1/35 kit
Nice!
I like that you kept it straightforward, and the build itself looks pretty clean, along with the decals.
Intentional or not, the photos show really well by keeping the overall colour scheme to OD with splashes of beige/red.
I'd say that your careful application of the mud (just a little along the sides, please) is effective, and apparently (from others' comments), accurately sets the operational theater!

Thanks - really appreciated.

I've not really built enough 1/35 yet to get it set in my head, but I think that's what my style of building will be. Simple and half way between factory fresh, and beaten to death. I like to have it weathered enough to show some use and context, but I also like to see the underlying subject - does that make sense?

Cheers!

HI Arnie yes you have done a super job on this tank an it looks real very well done sir brilliant model

Cooool!

...absolutely. And it is interesting to sample each other's varying recipes!

That's what I do like about forums, seeing how everyone's individual takes on similar subjects.

Very nice job mate, are you going to set it in a diorama?
Steve

Thanks Steve. Maybe not at the moment, but never say never. I have this idea in my head for it parked in a revetment, with the boss's jeep parked next to it and the crew stood around looking at a map - I've seen some decent figures on ebay.

Thanks - that's really appreciated. I'm glad it's coming across how I intended.

Thanks!

That's exactly my attitude—and you did an excellent job of it here!
