boatman showtime 1/48th Phantom build hopefully with lights

HI ALL well ive been sent this phantom kit by a very kind richard chappie off the old site to get my mojo back as not got a kit i want to do at the moment an hopein to try an light it up with 2mm leds but on closer inspection lookin at the wings its seems the makers have made the wings ends solid about 1mm thick an not in two bit so i can run my nav lights wires through so i may have a go at doin it but goin to be tricky as when burrin out the wing i dont want to go right through it so see how this goes but cant start on it proper yet as waiting for spray paint to come from my local model shop but for now some picceys AN UNTILL i get the paint from my local model shop this build is on hold

AN HERE a shot of the underside of them wings an as can be seen the wing ends are solid about 1mm thick so goin to be a job to burr out a channel for the nav leds wires

HI ALL well ive now got my paints an 2mm leds to now build this plane so i hope you guys enjoy this build an ive now just sprayed the wings an the wing nav lights all fitted in an now getting ready to solder on a tiny eletric plug to take the eletrics into the fusalarge will show some pics when i get a bit more done today

HI GUYS
well here are some pics to start off on the build an it show i have fitted in the wing nav light 2mm leds an they show up good an was a bit of a sruggle as to how thin the wing tip was but the green strb went in well

AN to show no hangin wires out a shot of the wing from front veiw again the green strb nav light

AN now for the port red nav light again i managed to burr out the solid wing tip an fit the red light an im pleased to say thing went good

AN here now a pic of the RED flashin light A/C light fitted half way up the tail vertical an burrein out a channelll in the tail was makin me sweat as i dint want to go right through the tail section

AN to show i did not melt the plastic or go right through the tail a shot here from the outside of the tail section with the red a/c light fitted an this will look better when its all togeather

HI GUYS well ive done some spray painting on the wings white underside an grey upper an white flaps an im pleased to say that them wires to the nav lights hardly show

AN HERE ive now stared to fit the eletric fusalarge side to the wings an neraly forgot to plug in the wings nav light plug but it now in

an ive also fitted in the strb side of fusalarge the main power feed for the lights

HI ALL well the build is finished an now started to fit on the decals but i had probs last night tryin to load up some pics an got kicked off the web so for now i wont load any more pics till ive finished it an hope i dont get kicked off the web again

HI ALL this MODEL is NOW FINISHED an was a bit of a fiddley build as some parts such as the fusealarge dint fit even after doin a lot of filein it down around the office but got there in the end an the decals kept breakin but just took my time to add the decals bits togeather an it has turned out better than i thought it would NOW for that big 1/32 phantom which will really test my skills as its a camo vietnam colors sceme an i will have to use a brush paint which im not very good at AN yes she looks a mean machine always loved the phantom AN NOW FOR SOME PICS
