Faced with this theme and the horror it is intended to invoke, my brain goes all analytical:

... again, the staging and colour palette are very effective. The equal treatment of terrain, vehicle and figures puts them all on the same level, and to your point, de-humanizes the people, they are literally blended into the mud, or cast in bronze, frozen in time.

Thanks for that thoughtful analysis, warscapes can be very monotonal and brutal.
Men and vehicles tend to take on the colors of earth and char, all to return to the earth
one way or the other.

Oh damn. Lordy lordy. Like a shot of horror.

Having seen dead people, I will not model dead figures.

But to each his own. You've definitely got skill in the macabre.

But why?

Be well. Be very well. Model on.

Thanks for the compliment...I think.
But why?....because why is a crooked letter..we can compare the numbers souls that haunt us, but I'm sure
it would be too painful.
. Maybe it's my own "macabre" way of honoring them.
All the best to you and yours always,
Jim.

Incredible work. I've never seen the dark side of war modelled like this. Beyond the "macabre" though, the attention to detail and weathering is incredible. Did you work from a reference photo?

Pretty gruesome, G, but well done. Me personally, na,................. no need to do this, you got it covered;)
Thanks guys, I'm trying to remember if some photo or other inspired me, I do vaguely remember something...it was many years ago.
Steve if it ever strikes your fancy don't be afraid to model any aspect of war, and besides where would war be if not for the dead.;)
