I decided to build another bike as really enjoyed the first one end of last year. Pantherman
Progress so far. I'm going for high gloss chrome finish with black frame and engine, aluminium for most of the other parts. PanthermanI decided to build another bike as really enjoyed the first one end of last year. Pantherman

And I think that's enough for tonight. Pantherman
"Just too good to be true,
can't take my eyes off of you!"
Sadly it will hardly be seen once the bodywork goes on, same with the engine. PanthermanI dunno, but so far, for me, the whole thing just revolves around that red spring!
Starting to look like a motorcycle. Very nice work. Looks like I will have to start the Kawasaki build soon. And I think that's enough for tonight. Pantherman

GB on the way......... PanthermanStarting to look like a motorcycle. Very nice work. Looks like I will have to start the Kawasaki build soon.
Same here. Leaving the start date with you. PanthermanI need to clear a spot on my bench.
I'm the same with the trans Am. PanthermanOkay. I am in the middle of a tank and a trans-am build. I seem to be spending more time on the tank. My automotive builds seem to be taking a backseat to everything else.
Hi Tim, this is what I'm thinking for the GB. PanthermanI'm the same with the trans Am. Pantherman
I like it, it's on my wishlist. Pantherman
Got a little bit more done. PanthermanAnd I think that's enough for tonight. Pantherman

I had to look it up, but small wonder that when you catch a glimpse of these bikes in the rear view, they've passed you before you are 'eyes forward' again.I mean, 178.5 miles per hour (287.3 kilometers per hour) off the assembly line, just a tad sluggish don't you think?
So I decided to use a rattle can of Winsor Newton gloss varnish for the bodywork. Not a great result and can't explain why one decal silvered when the other was fine? All done at the same time using the same materials? PanthermanGot a little bit more done. Pantherman

Laid on gloss with sol and set. Pantherman... wow, never had it that bad. Looks like more than just silvering. Hope someone has a clue how to save it!
Did you lay them on a gloss surface, and/or use any of those decal prep products?
This is the closest model I could find that matches my motorcycle. I just ordered the paint from Kawasaki dealer.
All the other decals are fine, it's just that one. Very puzzling? PanthermanGreat build so far Panther man. Bummer on the decal. I didn't think that Windsor stuff was that hot? Hmm.
So I have sanded down and now going to respray it. I have ordered another set of decals so hopefully it will work second time round. So I decided to use a rattle can of Winsor Newton gloss varnish for the bodywork. Good on you; dunno how I'd have handled it... not just your sandpaper's got grit!So I have sanded down and now going to respray it.
Many thanks, I like a challenge. PanthermanGood on you; dunno how I'd have handled it... not just your sandpaper's got grit!
On the home straight now. It's coming together nicely. PanthermanSo I have sanded down and now going to respray it. I have ordered another set of decals so hopefully it will work second time round.
Done a little bit more of the frame build while I'm waiting. Pantherman
