U gonna wanna build this U-Boat

I'm nearing the end. I have a couple of railing, antenna wires and decals.
I'm waiting for after market decals to come in the mail

Decided it was time to dry fit the interior tube just to make sure it's going to actually fit and pretty pleased with it.
Still the engine's to build and fit last section of the interior tube.

I've had no time with work and roof. I feel like I'm letting you guys down. Roofers were out yesterday and it was one issue after another. The valley that was ordered/built was incorrect size. Roofer immediately ordered another one yesterday morning when it was delivered. Then that one came in the wrong color. So another one had to be fabricated in correct color. I had planned on working on sub yesterday since I was off because of the roofers being there. As soon as I sat down, I was continually bombarded with knocks and calls.

They should be finishing up today so that should free up some of my time. This weekend I definitely plan to get after it.

I have almost finished the tube, just some engine pipework to fit. I have test fitted the interior tube into the rear hull and fitted the front hull, very happy with the fit.20240119_221013.jpg20240119_221041.jpg20240119_221100.jpg20240119_221046.jpg20240119_221049.jpg

Now had to think about how on earth I'm going to light this up as never done much electronic stuff so massive learning curve.

I marked the position of the front hull onto the interior tube bulkheads so that anything I do can't be seen when assembled. I have now cut back small sections of the top bulkheads with a view to getting cables along the top of the area's, then bring them around the rear section and back under the batteries to the middle of the lower hull.

I have in my head an idea to drop all the cables down, through the stand provided and into a a long thin box which will contain all the connectors, batteries and a switch. Like I said, it's all in my head working perfectly but in reality it might not happen !!!!!

If it all goes wrong then I will still have the unlit sub as anything I do for the lighting will not be seen. Pantherman
