I am tempted to have another go but using the black jewellery wire and having already built it, the little bit's that weren't quite right on this one I should be able to improve on another one. Pantherman

I am slowly getting there. I will say the rudder decals did require copious amounts of 4 letter words to get placed.

Looking at the pictures I see I need to touch up the tail rigging with black paint. I am very happy with how this turned out.

Yet another mystery. Pantherman

My first time using oil paint for the wood and I am impressed at how easy it is and how good it looks. I did all the wing spars too. The pictures honestly don't do it justice, the bits look better in person.

Made it back safely.
And my sister gave me an early birthday present.

2 firsts for me.
1) I have never attempted a 72
2) I never built a Hasegawa.

I've seen good reviews and bad reviews of the brand. So, I'll be able to judge this myself.

I have a friend who was in the US Army he was a chief mechanic and door-gunner on a black hawk helicopter.
I might give it to him after I complete it.

I decided to paint an aluminum color for the trim and varnish the wood which means I have to varnish all of the wood now.

Yes. That polish stuff works really well. I might tone it down a bit with a light satin.

My opinion is to tone it down. I’ve never been one for glossy finishes.
