My entry will be a destroyer, her escorts and a group of fighters. The scene is based on the screen capture below - from S03-E10 Severed Dreams, but I'm scaling it back a little bit. I'm going to try and scratch build everything (this will be my first attempt at scratch building an entire model).

The Hyperion cruiser and the Omega are some of my favourite ship designs in all of Sci-fi and I've wanted to have both in my model collection for some time. I'll post some more pictures of both as I sort out some referance material.

OOO! This will be a really cool scene! :)

Thanks for the links. I've seen paper models of both the Omega and the Hyperion, and a resin Hyperion is availible from Federation Models. But the Warp Omega and the Gizmotron Hyperion are in different scales, not to mention the cost of the Warp kit...it's a little more than I can spend on a one time purchase. Besides I've seen some inspiring scratch build here, I'm itching to give it a try. & I'm glad I have a whole year... ;D

I have the warp Omega, just waiting for my skills to improve a bit before I tackle that monster. Got it off of Ebay for $80.

The Omega should be pretty easy except for the rotational part. Most if it is flat planes or tubes. The Hyperion is a different story..... I will follow this build with interest.

There is an ebay seller that often sells weapons for these ships.

I don't know the scale, but if it is a help....

I'm planning to do everything in 1:2500. Not sure what scale the resin parts in your link are...

But that's ok.

That is so cool. Where is it you work - you make props?
Thanks for the pictures - I'm so itching to start...
I've got to finish my mecha GB build, WoMW GB and CC 130 first (aiming to finish them over the holidays).
Then it's OMEGA TIME!

I work at a retail store called Sci-fi World here on Toronto.

When we built the Agamemnon and the rest of the props as decorations in our restaurant, Sci-Fi Cafe. We closed the Cafe after 9 years and moved the store into the unit.
We built the Agamemnon to take to a convention that Jerry Doyle ( Garibaldi ) was attending. Got a picture with him and the model...really cool.

When you get to building the Omega,if you want I'll take some detail shot of the Agamemnon. We built it when there was very little reference around. We had to work with 1 picture from a collector card and a VHS tape recording off the TV to get the details. Looking back, we're proud to say we got to about 90% accuracy with the details.

Post some of your WIP's when you get them.
