Which F22 kit

Wife was watching some YouTube shorts and was amazed at some F22 videos. Said I should build one. Well far be it from me to disappoint SWMBO, so which kit should I look at. Want it in 1/48. I like big planes.

A 1/48 F-22 is going to be a big plane. I did the 1/72 kit and it is the size of most of my other 1/48 builds.

Picked up a 1/72 from Hobby Lobby for 16 bucks on the 40% off sale.

Not a fan of the F-22 and they’re fugly. Oh well….

The Academy 1/72 kit is very nice. It has two different sprue options for a clear, or gold tinted canopy which is nice because you don't have to worry about tinting it if you choose that option. Although weirdly enough, they have both as clear parts for the bomb bay doors as well. I guess that is in case you want the doors closed, but still be able to see the bomb bay interior for some reason

Not sure if they have an upscaled 1/48 though

I built the 1/72 Revell kit and tinted the canopy myself. It was a nice kit to build.
