VNAF Skyraider

This is another recent build of mine. The Italeri 1/48 Skyraider in VNAF markings. The Skyraider, in all its variations, is one of my favorite prop planes. Perhaps THE favorite. The U.S. gave over a number of different aircraft to the Vietnamese Air Force. Skyraiders being one of them. They came from both the Navy and AF. Generally they kept the same overall paint job, so this one was a Navy plane.

The kit is meh at best. You are better served getting the Tamiya or even old Monogram kit rather than this one. BUT, this boxing had the super decal sheet with the VNAF markings. The decals are excellent. So with some extra work, it does come out OK. Just be prepared for ill fit and seam work.

Nice, those decals look worth the extra work.
