Okay, here we have the final pics for the build.

For a refresher, as well as for those just joining us, this is the Revell Republic Star Destroyer, built out of the box, with custom decals/markings and some weathering and battle damage.

For the battle damage, I used a couple of different techniques.

I started by roughing in the damage with a small grinder bit in my Dremel at about 2000 rpms (or whatever speed '2' is on the Stylus dial)

Then, I carefully filled the holes with Testor's liquid cement in a method I've used with the tube version and lit it with a match.

Using the match to further things, I let it run along the hull to help scorch things. (WARNING: BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS AS FIRE IS DANGEROUS!)

I then went in and painted the "holes" with metallic silver.

Some of the holes were covered with simulated repair plates that I made using the foil from "poptart" wrappers.

WIth the patches glued on with CA, I then used a blach wash to dirty up both the painted areas and the repair plates.
