Trumpeter 1/35 M1127 Stryker

Eastrock: It's gettin' there bud, had a massive project at work that had to be completed the last couple of weeks. Got the decals on, and only have to put some light mud on there and then a little bit more weathering.

Spud: Glad you like the bags, no need to send me any, I only used about a quarter of all the stowage that came with it. I have plenty left. haha
PM me your address and i'll finish the rest and send them to you ;)

haha thanks for the offer but i wouldnt expect anyone to do that for me...... Address inbound ;D

Looking forward with the Finished, Myke ;)

Seems like Spud is packing details on the stryker!!! on Rampage ;D

ER: Spud is some kinda of model building Irish superhero. With powers only the finest whiskey and potatoes can bring. He'll be done well before me.

Speaking of which Spud: payment requirements sent ..., AHEM Middleton (kidding, no way I could charge that much)

I think I'm actually going to get this thing finished up pretty soon.

Got the decals on...

..., not many of them. Added a filter in select areas (most of) the body and hit it with another coat of future. Got started on the rain streaks here. It's tricking making it subtle but the AKI products do make it easy to control.

Here is the stowage going on either side of vehicle.

I'm not to far from being done with this now. Just some more details, weathering, and flat coat, and bringing all the details together.

Looking great Myke!! Moving right along with the weathering!! Get her finished up there!!! ;D

looking good myke, looks like you will finish up no probs

Real Nice there Myke !!!

Judging from the Orange N Red Ramp Stickers... your Vehicles is based in Germany ??? I saw plenty of those while stationed in Germany !!! More common on Bundeswehr vehicles... and US vehicles stationed there...

Very cool weathering effects on the BOLTS !!! I like it very much !

Keep up the good work !

Norm.

Germany eh? I had no idea. Good to know. Thanks Norm!

Well Myke..... Let's put it another way..... Its provenance could have been.... From a US base in Germany..... Vehicles and Personal are being requisitioned from around the world.....and Ammassed in large motor pools for furtherance to Active theatres.... a truck is a truck is a truck.... LoL!

See yeah! And I love what you did to it! Awesome my man!

Exceptionally well Myke!!! First time armor virgin??? Great work buddy!!! Looking forward to the finals!! ;)

Well I thank you all very kindly for following along on this build, all the kind words, and for helping me along with my ignorance. It's taken a while to finish it but..., it's finally done!

Before some final shots I thought I would share this little gem of a product.

I bought this for the "Disco Ball" on my BlackHawk on last years Spring Contest, Thankfully I had plenty left to cover the Stryker

Lots of firsts for me on this build; first armor build, first completed kit of 2012, First use of AKI products, and a ton of firsts that all pertain to weathering armor.
I'm addicted now though (as noted by the haul I pulled in from Blizcon last Sat), and I'll be back on the armor train really soon.
The next one I build will be much much better too!
I'll get some outdoor shots of it as soon as the wind and snow dies down. The florescent lights I use don't really do the colors any favors.

Thanks again for following everybody, and thanks to PA007 for putting on the group build.

Cheers & All the best.
Myke
