I see what you mean about the finish, although at a slight distance it doesn't seem too noticeable. Love the fleck in the blue and I agree, that yellow really makes it pop. Great looking Gasser!
Ever make a Blown drag boat?

When i get the clear coat on the flake is really going to show up, its got a lot in it. I always see the paint fight in a lot of posts, over the last 6 years i have figured some things out and im going to do a post on it. And yes i have done a boat its in my media posts as Blue Lightning.

I was thinking more like a Sanger hull, prop driven with a big blown V-8. I remember seeing these as a kid and marveled at their flat wide hull and awesome rooster tails!
Blue Lightning looks pretty radical !

Number 2 is done, wow that didnt sound good 🤣. 3 easy coats of clear did the job to smooth out the chicken skin, Testors Deja Blue is a sweet color deep blue with a lot of small flake. Looking forward to a good sunny day for some natural light pictures.

Fantastic job on those!

That duo looks like trouble!
...yes, sunlight will bring out the razzle in that blue dazzle!
Enjoyed both builds...
And my familiarity with 'little mouse' only leaves me more impressed by your builds.

You really should consider finding a small piece of tight grain asphalt nearby that nobody would notice so you could paint up a "staging lane" with Christmas tree and starter boxes to pose your Trophy Cars!!

Im going to get a sheet of masonite board and some 1x2 to frame it out, then roller paint it flat black and decide how to stripe it for a track, make a retaining wall and return lane to park cars on. Then i need a christmas tree and a flag man for the older cars, i can bet if i check Etsy i will find both.
