The rat gets its wheels and body fit and cleared for the underpinnings. It took a few hrs, to get the engine and front wheel openings done and right. I saw posts of salt cars and guys trying to find the right stuff to make the look of sticky salt, for your wheels super glue and powdered sugar, a good even coat of glue then just roll the wheel through a thick layer of sugar one time do not try for two coats it will pull the sugar off and make a real mess you will not be able to clean up. If your looking for tires Orings work best, and for salt on the body Elmers glue and powdered sugar work great, that you can was off if you need to. You cant use Elmers on the tires it wont stick to the rubber.
