Finally underway. Parts pre-fit nicely.

Needing advice, please; Does anyone paint the rubber on the wheels of a tiger black then weather them and suggesting the black? Or do you do like the photo of these tiger wheels on this real tank?

I want it to look like it is battle-hardened in the field and not a museum piece.

Those are steel rims .
On an operational tank the contact surface would be corrosion free , dark umberish -in- color bare steel .



This is the type of wheel they switched to for the Tigers and the Panther tank later in the war .

Once I get the hang of building models again I would like to actually create zimmerit with missing bits.
Looks like he's happy reading an invisible book.

I would unify the color of the outer rim surface to match that darkest tone you have on them .
Unless this is supposed to be a nonoperational tank that's been sitting a good while .

It seems clear this Tiger is going to be zimmerit-less.
Zimmerit for a King Tiger was sent for my first order. I do not have a King Tiger tank so I sent it back
I finally I got the Zimmerit for the Tiger I, unfortunately it is the wrong scale; 1:48 not 1:35...
It seems clear that zimmerit is not supposed to be on this tank.
