Been on a building spree with the time I have left for this summer.
This was my previous build few weeks ago http://www.scalemodeladdict.com/index.php/topic,9666.0.html
I went to a different local shop this time and was surprised to be able to find this older 1991 F-15C. I bought this one along with an Academy limited edition Su-30MK. That one looked rather challenging so I started on this one to get some weathering and shading techniques down first.
I tried pre-shading this time and the result came out better than I thought. I was very careful not to cover up the pre-shading on 2 subsequent coat.
Did some post-shading along major panel lines by cutting a slit on a 3x5 index card, then hold it few cm above and spray a darker shade 10-15% of the primary coat.
Finally I have ordered and waiting for Tamiya master weathering sets A through C so I can apply more heavier weathering, and grease/oil stain on the belly and around the engine.
Hopefully starting the Su-30MK soon after this.
