Hi guys,
My latest armour build a tamiya cromwell, with diy hessian tape camo ( gauze and paper tape)
Also my first endeavour into figure painting...

Please tell me what you think!!!

Love it, Cromwell is one of my favorite tanks. Shame Canada didn't use them. Might have to do a "what if" on mine.

Yes that is plain,regular gauze it works really well and is cheap! :D

What process do you use to dye the cotton? Mine always come out uneven and look awful...thanx
 
Hey cargoman,
First I cover the spot on the vehicle where I want the netting with plastic foil.
Then I drape the net on the vehicle and add white glue thinned with water and manipulate the netting to its final spot.
when it's in its spot Ill add the thin strips of paper and let it completely dry.
I glue the net on the vehicle before I give it its base coat, in my case it has been black primer from vallejo.
I sprayed the netting in the same color as the vehicle and added highlights after.
Then I painted the paper strips individually.

I hope this helps you, you should really try this out super easy and cheap ;)
