Tamiya 1:32 Mustang

Ah, the old 'one, two, skip a few, ninety nine, one hundred' and your model's finished, no hiccups? LOL

A beautiful plane, all the more so considering the paint issues. Excellent work!

That Alclad is amazing stuff. She shines MP! That's better then the "Glow in the Dark" version.

Wow realy realy nice. I've ordered a 1/48 and have a bottle of aclad waiting to be used, any advice on trying this for the first time?

Yes, throughly wash ALL PARTS!! :-X I think that was my biggest problem with the masking accidents, there was some impurity on the surface of the plastic.

What AlcladII product do you have? If it's one of the High Shine ones remember it only works with a glossy base, preferably black. And the lighter the coat the better the effect.

Thanks for the heads up mp! I've got the 'airframe aluminium' alc - 119 I've never used it before... So put down a gloss black base coat enamel or acrylic or doesn't matter??

Airframe Aluminum would not require a glossy base but it would make it look nice. You can alternate the color of the base to give variations of the panels, even Flat vers Gloss would give you neat variants. Acrylic or Enamel as long as you give it a good curing time. I'd say at least a couple of days, more if it's humid.

Here's some primers for ya

Matt Swann's article on AlcladII though it does not include the High Gloss products.

I did a Mig15 here

And a F86 which I had good and bad with the finish, ended up looking pretty good till I screwed up with the decals.
