I have discovered that by using stretched sprue and Plastic Weld         applied with the  Touch n Flow  applicator I'm able to get solid neat joins that require little if any sanding in larger gaps.  The thin Plastic Weld glue melts the plastic really well. Thin gaps can be easily be closed using this glue and applicator which is a must when using Alclad that shows every imperfection under the metallic paint.
