1951 Studebaker Champion gasser also know as the bullet nose. Jimmy Flintstone resin body, 41 Willes chassis, blown Ford 427 cammer power. I need to get it back on the bench and do more detailing, the interior is a little lacking. Made the windows from lexan sheet and a dawn dish detergent bottle for the back window, i wonder if anyone saw me going around wally world with a 6in scale measuring different bottles. 🤨

In Hobby Lobby 2 nights ago and ALMOST bought 2 car models! What's going on?! A '66 Chevelle (which I had as a young guy) and a '55 Chevy gasser. I could see Two Lane Blacktop all over again!!
Gotta Focus!! "Wings & Props", "Wings & Props"!!!

Bullet nose? More like diner salt shaker! Loving it.
Burgundy strikes again.
I was hung up on that color for a wile, the dulpicolor can will do at least 4 cars. I like red on a car but not to light, burgundy is the on the dark end, my favorite is what the translucent red did shot right on the red plastic of the barron.

Get an old classic show car to build they are alot of fun, most times easy, they go together well, and most people have never seen them. Hobbylinc has the Pie Wagon in stock right now for 27 bucks, and the Raders coach for about 30 bucks. both are sweet kits. They are selling the new release of the Red Barron from Atlantis but its on back order right now, For 27 bucks i will be getting another one soon as i can to add another pc, to my stock of old classics.

Nice looking gasser! Would have never guessed there was a dish soap bottle in there. :D

I knew it was going to be an issue, but i bought the body anyway, the window is made from a medium dawn dish detergent bottle cut from just under the neck. I need to look for something to do a cockpit cover for the blue lightning boat, its small but kind of square so not gona be easy on that one.

It seems everything comes wrapped in those darn blister packs... I hate them... but I also collect them, and they come in an endless variety of shapes. I had a drawer full waiting for a higher purpose in life... most ended up as glue or paint trays. 😟
They are what most of the sci-fi builders use to do their projects, they require a lot of imagination filler and paint, then weathering and detailing like you do to your military builds to get the look they want.
